Every place on the Makarska Riviera can easily be reached by car and bus by travelling on the D8 Adriatic highway (or the Adriatic tourist road), which passes through every place on the coast, connecting the northern and southern Adriatic.
- Regular and frequent bus and train lines run from all major cities in Croatia to Split, where there is also an airport connected with all the major European cities. The second closest airport is located in Čilipi (near Dubrovnik).
- Local buses connect to the preferred destinations on the Makarska Riviera from the bus station in Makarska.
- If you are travelling by boat, Jadrolinija, based in Split, offers crossings to all the Croatian islands and also ports in Italy.
